  67.   Create, print out and solve crossword puzzles and kriss-cross
  68.   activities from your words and clues.  Words are automatically
  69.   placed in the puzzle grid.  Auto-search quickly creates over 400
  70.   different word arrangements to find the puzzle with the most words.

  126.    A QUICK TUTORIAL:
  127.    1. Insert the working copy diskette in drive A:.
  128.    2. Enter the word PUZZLE when A:> is displayed.
  129.    3. When the program is loaded, the Title Screen will appear.
  130.    4. Then the Menu Bar will appear at the top of the screen.
  131.    5. Use the right arrow key or left mouse button to go to the
  132.       Settings Menu.
  133.    6. Move the cursor down to the Select Printer and press Enter.
  134.    7. Select your printer.
  135.    8. Press Escape to leave the Printer Settings.
  136.    9. Move the cursor and select Save these settings on the Settings
  137.       Menu.
  138.   10. Move the cursor to the File Menu.
  139.   11. Select First Word List.
  140.   12. Move the cursor to highlight the displayed word list.  Press Enter.
  141.   13. Move to the Puzzle Menu.  Select Automatic Arrangement.

  162. Differences between Evaluation and Registered Versions:
  163. The evaluation version will place up to 25 words in each puzzle and
  164. kriss-cross activity.  There is no limit for the registered version.
  165. The evaluation version does not include the 730K dictionary.  The
  166. registered version may also include additions to this program since
  167. the release of this evaluation version.

  170. program directory and any files you created in the data subdirectory
  171. you indicated on initial setup.

  200. DIRECTIONS FOR COPYING TO THE HARD DISK USING WINDOWS
  201.  1. Go to FILE MANAGER
  202.     On the left side of the screen you should see C:\
  203.     with the directories listed under the C:\ symbol.
  204.  2. Place the mouse pointer on the C:\ symbol and click once.
  205.     C:\ should now be highlighted.
  206.  3. Click on the File Menu.
  207.  4. Click on Create Directory
  208.     You should see a box Create Directory.
  209.     At Name type C:\WISCO  Click OK.
  210.     If you scroll down the left side of the screen,
  211.     you should see the new directory WISCO
  212.  5. Place the CROSSWORD POWER diskette in drive A:
  213.  6. Click on the A: Drive Icon (under the Title Bar).
  214.     You should see a directory for the files on the disk listed.
  215.  7. Click on the File Menu.  A menu will drop down.
  216.  8. Click on Select Files.  A window will appear.
  217.  9. Click on Select.  Lines will appear around the file names,
  218. 10. Click on Close.  The file names will appear to be colored in.
  219. 11. Click on File.  A menu will drop down.
  220. 12. Click on Copy.  A window will appear.
  221.     In the box following TO: type C:\WISCO
  222. 13. Click OK
  223. 14. You can start Crossword Power from FILE MANAGER
  224.     On the left side of the screen you should see C:\
  225.     with the directories listed under the C:\ symbol.

  227.     you should see the directory WISCO
  228.     Place the mouse pointer on the WISCO symbol and click once.
  229.     WISCO should now be highlighted.

  235. 1. First Create a Subdirectory named WISCO for the program.
  236.    At the DOS prompt, you will see C:\>
  237.    Type MD WISCO and press Enter
  238. 2. Now you will change to the WISCO subdirectory.
  239.    Type CD WISCO and press Enter
  240.    Your DOS prompt now reads C:\WISCO\>
  241. 3. Now you will copy the files from the diskette to this subdirectory.
  242.    Place the CROSSWORD POWER diskette in drive A:
  243.    Type COPY  A:*.* and press Enter
  244.    You will see a message when the copying is done.
  245. 4. Remove the diskette from the disk drive and store
  246.    it in a safe place.
